Citrusy Experiments At Beeville Attract Attention
Major L L McInnis and Hon Jno M Green visited the Beeville experiment station to inspect citrus work. Oranges and lemons are grown by grafting on hardy stock. Trees bear in their second year and a month earlier than the Florida crop. Five year old trees are heavily fruited. If unusually cold weather arrives any season the trees would survive, though the crop could be damaged.
