A sixteen year old girl testified before the county attorney in Cleburne Texas on Tuesday. Reverend P. Deason of the Baptist church, from near Grandview, was arrested on a serious charge and later posted bond of 1500 dollars with several prominent men signing.

Two Negroes Hanged for 1904 Lumberton Murder
In Faytte jail Jefferson county Mississippi on July 18 Lee Fletcher and Joe Robinson were hanged for Lamb Anderson's January 1904 craps room murder. Robinson confessed, exonerating Fletcher, after escaping earlier. Robinson was captured in New Orleans and Fletcher in Franklin Louisiana.
