Flooding Devastates Mohawk Valley and Arca Region
A severe downpour caused the Mohawk river and nearby creeks to flood collapsing bridges and washing out road beds. Miss Minnie Loper drowned near a flooded creek bank while others escaped narrowly. Widespread damage to livestock, crops, and infrastructure reported from Arca and nearby towns with extensive land inundation.
