Miraculous Escape: Baby Survives Train Run Over
In Winnetoka, a baby about a year and a half old lay in the railroad path ahead of a Chicago and Northwestern express. Engineer Duncan applied brakes hard and the infant emerged unharmed from under the tender. Rescue by the crew drew a frightened crowd, but identity of the child or parents could not be determined.
