Taft Receives Atlanta Welcome With Banquet and Flags
President elect William H. Taft arrives in Atlanta from Augusta to a citywide welcome. Mayor Meddox and chamber officials greet him at the station as crowds throng Peachtree Street. A chamber of commerce banquet at the auditorium features a flag formed by flowers and lights. Taft to speak. He will tour sights and address Atlanta’s black residents tomorrow.
