Texas Brazos county invites distant home seekers
An Associated Press dispatch from Chicago notes 15,000 to 25,000 home seekers headed to southwest Texas this week via Chicago, Memphis, St. Louis, Kansas City and Omaha. The movement, tied to cheap excursion rates, is a record breaker with more people seeking homes in the southwest in the past three months than ever before. John Sebastian of Rock Island reports the travel surge toward Southwest Texas is nearly unbelievable.
