Galveston Harbor gets $1,000,000 in rivers and harbors bill
A Senate House committee plan approves a $60 million rivers and harbors appropriation with Texas receipts of about $2.2 million. Galveston Harbor gains $1 million for jetties restoration and channel work, plus $600,000 for Galveston ship channel and Buffalo Bayou. Other Texas items include the Trinity River improvements and Aransas Pass jetty funding.
