Elks Club Hosts Reception for Daughters of the Confederacy
The Elks Club in this city held a formal reception and ball for delegates of the Texas division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and visiting ladies. The event featured purple and white decorations, a moss and rose punch table, and music by Besserer’s Orchestra of Austin. About three hundred attendees dressed in evening attire enjoyed a long grand march led by F. C. Oliver and Mrs. Debrell of Seguin.
