William Dwyer, 35, survived a steel rail skull injury and brain abscess at University Hospital. A silver plate was fitted to his skull, restoring sanity and prompting a plea to be killed if madness persisted. He resumed normal work with wife and two children in Michigan.
In Boston a jury found Dr. Percy D McLeod not guilty of being an accessory after the fact to an illegal operation that caused Susanne A Geary’s death. The verdict ended at 10 15 with the judge sealing it. Co-defendants William E Hunt and Louis W Crawford were sentenced to six to eleven years in state prison.
