City Park Well Strainer and Casing Completed
The city completed the strainer and casing for the new park well yesterday and started the pump at about 1 PM. The pump produced a strong water stream all afternoon, filling the elevated cistern for street sprinkling, and experts say the well should supply ample water with reduced sand or cave danger. A. H. Eaves held the well contract and Alderman J. E. Covey oversaw the project for the city council, giving personal attention for over a week.
