Free State label fades in Van Zandt County
In a Meteor column and church notes from Bryan Texas in April 1900 the paper reflects on Van Zandt County shedding the Free State moniker as law and order, education, and civic life improve. It also covers Christian Endeavor activities at the county church, noting visits by H. H. Grotthouse and other leaders and the Sunday services and debates on youth obligations.
