Tragic Farmhouse Fire Claims Child Victim in Yardley Farm

A Saturday afternoon blaze at Sr W D Yardley’s farm burned a small child and a teen boy perished. Neighbors say the house was empty as adults worked nearby and the boys were left inside. Will Holland and Henry Johnson resided in the city and aided in the late rescue, but the infant and another brother were lost. Parents were unaware until the blaze was extinguished and the remains were recovered.
