Ill-Assorted Editorial Notes and Halloween at Villa Maria
A loosely connected set of newspaper excerpts covers political opinions on presidential and senate electability, public discussions of cotton harvesting timing, local business concerns, and an oblique critique of political figures. The piece then shifts to a Villa Maria Halloween gathering with poems, student readings, a lantern parade, costumes, and a prize box, culminating in a school party scene.
