Demand Grows for Agricultural Manual Training Teachers
The article lists multiple Texas public schools and state colleges seeking qualified men to teach agriculture and manual training. It cites rising requests, salary offers around 100 dollars per month, and a push to expand programs despite teacher shortages. Quotes from superintendents across Jasper, Marlin, Sulphur Springs, Clarksville, and others illustrate statewide demand and the social value of the profession. It also notes related notes from Arkansas and Kansas schools about needed staff and the broader push for agricultural education.
