Liner Oceana collision prompts rescue and casualty report
The Ocean liner Oceana struck near 4 AM on a voyage to Tampico causing passengers to wade through water on the lower deck. 280 crew were aboard, with only 23 white sailors, and several drowned as boats were lowered.
