North Salem Quilting Club Meeting and Reunion Notes
The North Salem Quilting Club met September 14 for an all day session with Alpha Lambert to finish a quilt and embroider pillow cases. Fourteen members attended along with seven visitors and three children. a prize awaits any member attending every meeting for six months. A separate entry reports a large Coram and Hill family reunion at Mrs Dulcie Coram's home on September 10, 1939, with about 140 people listed by name and relation.

General Purpose Club Holds All Day Meeting in Winigan
The General Purpose Club met with Mrs. Elizabeth Lantz on Thursday September 14 for an all day gathering. Members cut quilt blocks and shared a noon meal prepared by Mrs. Lantz and daughter. A short business portion planned a Milan October display and a one act play with 4 H club entertainment planned. The event drew thirteen members and guests.
