Ex-Boy Emperor 13 Broke Cottage His Castle Now
Peiping China. The boy emperor, once ruler of all China, now lives in a small house in Tientsin with his wife as he can no longer afford a large residence. His fortune is nearly gone and his income from property has been cut off. He relies on old Manchu retainers who are themselves suffering. He has no plan to earn a living and remains with two women and a few loyalists. He lost most of his lands and jewels after Republican governments seized them. He also lost 250000 from the Exchange Bank of China when it failed. For two years he has lived in Changyuan garden in the Japanese concession, rent free but with many servants. He moved to Lu Chungyu's house in the same concession to lessen his plight.
