Passes Examination Enlists for Navy Training
Eugene Lyle Quigley passes tests at the Kansas City recruiting station and heads to the San Diego naval training base. He is the son of Mr and Mrs J P Quigley of Browning. After three months at the station he will serve aboard a navy ship for much of a four year enlistment. He visited Chillicothe to spend time with his cousin Mrs John Kenyan and Mr Kenyan.

Curtis Wesley Hatch aged 38 died at his home north of Brookfield. Born February 26, 1904 in Browning, he married Wilma Clement in 1929 and had three children. Funeral at Meadville Baptist Church Wednesday at 1 30 pm officiated by Reverend C G Hardgrove. He was a respected industrious farmer with a lifelong belief in the golden rule.
