Agricultural notes advise on fertilizer mixes for wheat across Missouri soils. On badly worn land apply 100 to 150 pounds per acre of complete fertilizer with 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 percent nitrogen, 8 to 12 percent available phosphoric acid, and 1 to 3 percent potash. On well managed land bone meal or acid phosphate are suggested, with bone meal preferred for lasting phosphorus.
E A Jones, former local lumber and implement dealer, becomes traveling salesman for Parlin and Orendorff Plow Company of Kansas City at 1500 dollars per year. He moved with his wife and daughter to Kansas City for their future home after selling his stock to T B Shannon of Iola Kansas.

In Trenton Missouri the jury in James Humphrey’s murder case returned a verdict of guilty of second degree murder after ten hours and fifteen minutes of deliberation. The sentence fixed at twenty years in the penitentiary. The state accused jealousy driven motive tied to the murdered man James Hatcher whose body was found in the snow near the Humphrey place last January. The defense argued Humphrey shot Hatcher during a corn theft dispute.
