Milan Missouri hosts an agricultural fair and stock sale on September 26 to 28. The poultry department promises to be the best ever seen outside state fairs and the poultry exhibit will be released Friday morning to ship to the State Fair.
SILAS 100 an Auctioneer of National Reputation will conduct the sale as chosen by the Association. The event promises to be a grand feature, with best in class handling to maximize stock value. Owners should list all stock to be sold by Sept 18 to allow publication of the list and a sale catalogue. Stock not listed may not be sold.
Catalogues will be mailed free upon application with attention to Special Premiums offered by merchants. All school children under 14 are admitted free on Friday Sept 28. Teachers should apply to the secretary for the number of tickets needed.
No entrance fee will be charged and every effort is made to show cattle horses sheep hogs and poultry that will credit Sullivan County home of the finest Hereford and Aberdeen Angus herds.
