The annual Winigan community school fair drew a good crowd Friday and Saturday despite rain and muddy roads. Exhibits in floral hall agri cultural art and culinary departments impressed as four floats paraded with Winigan winning for a log schoolhouse display. A Kansas City crash on Seventeenth and Walnut killed Donald Duncan and left Miss Gertrude MacLaughlin and Elliott Britton gravely injured after a Dodge sedan swerved into a parked heavy truck. Bouchard drove at about forty mph. police suspect the driver was drinking. Duncan, 19, a Browning Savings Bank heir, died after hospital treatment. Funeral services were planned. he had a Civil War era family history and large descendants.
