Funeral Rites Held for James Donald Johnson

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon for James Donald Johnson at his grandmother’s home in Browning Missouri. The ceremony included a Navy veteran’s roll and graveside honors by American Legion Claude Myers Post 274 with color guard and flower girls. Johnson, born July 4 1919, graduated Browning High School 1937, attended Chillicothe Business College, enlisted in the Navy in 1942, and drowned near Kirkwood after a Great Lakes training period. He is survived by his mother Mrs J B Carter father Otto Johnson a sister Doris Lee Johnson and his grandmother Mrs Joe Johnson.

Two to Air Reserve Clipping of Dunlap and Archibald

Farrell Dunlap and Albert Archibald of Phillip Petroleum were sworn into the Army Air Corps Reserve and began eight weeks of flight training at Spartan School in Tulsa. They expect to proceed to Kelly Field Texas for officer training toward commissions as fliers. Both own planes and hold 115 flight hours. wives work secretarial for the company.
