Mrs S S Cotter longtime resident of Linn and Sullivan counties died Thursday afternoon May 16 at her son Kenneth Cotter’s Granite City Illinois home. The funeral was held Sunday at 2 pm from the family home near Browning with burial in Hoover cemetery. She leaves her husband S Cotter three children including Virginia and Kenneth, one grandson and siblings.

A new American Legion Auxiliary unit No. 274 at the Claude H. Myers Post organized with seventeen charter members during a call meeting on April 10.
