Elected Teachers Fill School Posts As Principal Debated
The school board elected all teachers except the principal. Mrs. W H Dickinson will head the primary replacing Miss Florence Clarkson who taught there last year. Frances Fields and Lilah Fleming take charge of the first and second intermediate grades while Leonard Shipley was chosen for the grammar department. The board delayed naming a principal, later reports say L D Sayers was chosen. A local merchant, John Swicegood, found a mouse in his pocket that chewed $69 in checks but the pieces are redeemable.
