Dr. M. R. McCollum osteopathic physician of Kirksville Missouri died Saturday from a paralytic stroke at his home. He was 54 and survived by his widow Helen, three children, two daughters and a son, plus parents, siblings and several relatives. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Dee Riley funeral home with burial in Maple Hills cemetery. He taught and practiced in Kirksville after graduating from the Osteopathic school.

Millie G Cantwell daughter of William and Sallie A Cantwell born May 13 1871 near New Boston Macon County Missouri died Saturday at her home in Purdin Missouri. She married Wm Myers of Winigan Missouri August 17 1888 and they lived there about thirty five years. Seven children were born Ada May and Ruby Helen died in infancy. Survived by sister Emma Wright Marceline Missouri half sisters Vada Forrest Avery Iowa Willie Hays Winigan Missouri half brother Cory Carter Bucklin Missouri and uncle Dr J L Cantwell Bucklin Missouri plus many relatives. She joined the Baptist church early in life and remained faithful.

Sixty five plates were served at the Junior-Senior Banquet in the school Auditorium on Friday night May 1. The hall featured red white and blue decor with Uncle Sam favors and a V shaped table arrangement.
