Evert Hollon bought EF M Neely properties west Milan from the Neely Estate on Tuesday.

Will Myers recovers from flu, Loren Pulliam returns from California for a ten day visit before camp, and Mrs. Baskett treats a poison ivy infection. Commencement exercises at the Methodist Church draw a crowd despite threats of bad weather. Family visits, camp furloughs, and a luncheon with photos mark a weekend of gatherings and updates.

Ora Reed and Cecil Bunch visited Milan on Monday. Odgen Romine went to Brown ing on business Tuesday. Mrs John Munns was at Green City Wednesday. Mr and Mrs Elvis Martin visited their daughter Mrs Floyd Spencer and family Tuesday. Ora Tallman visited Mrs Bessie Nations Friday. Mr and Mrs D D Rankin were Kirksville visitors Wednesday. Mr and Mrs Frank Bailey were at Green City last week. Mr and Mrs Shannon Muir lost their baby chicks Saturday while in Kirksville. neighbors saved the brooder house though the floor burned. J L Jones were at Kirksville Friday. Miss Maurine Hayes joined them for the weekend. She attends K C T C. Raymond McCollum has gone to Illinois seeking work.
Scottsville notes fine rains but cold weather continues. Miss Christine VanFossen is rehired to teach at Scottsville school again next winter.
