Captain Ransom moves to his farm north west of Cora. neighbors regret his departure. The Ransom Co combination sale in Cora on March 16 draws good crowds and sells stock well. A wedding at Charles Georges Ivory Creason and Hester George takes place with Rev Peter Creason officiating and a generous reception afterward.
A letter from Empalmero Mexico by Austin Van Wye to his father describes serious railway disruptions on the south end of the line with the R’s cutting wires burning bridges and delaying trains. He notes no trouble in his immediate area but warns it may come later.

Ola Creason closed a very successful school at Bundridge on Friday. Morning lessons finished before noon while the afternoon brought many visitors who heard an excellent program by the teacher and pupils. Patrons spoke afterward. the school closed with praise for Ola’s work as a promising young educator.
Friday marked the end of a seven months term at White Oak Grove school house as patrons arrived with baskets and boxes of viands for a rich dinner prepared by district ladies. Evening programs featured songs recitations and performances by the teacher pupils and friends, with all reporting an enjoyable event.
