A large Sunday event at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J H Payne united Miss Gladys May Payne and Lee Vernon Bagley in marriage before about forty guests with Rev M L Holloway presiding. A later reception featured a dinner by the bride’s mother and honored guests included Roy Keithley and Dyle Peterson among others. Several other society gatherings and dinners were held in the community with hostesses Mrs Roy Keithley Mrs W H Dickinson Mrs L W Hummel and Mrs C J Ingraham entertaining guests at their homes on March 16 and 17.
