The letter argues farmers should skip centralizers and set up a co operative creamery at home to profit from butterfat. It estimates eight months of milking yields about 200 pounds of butterfat per cow, with prices around 30c per pound. It claims a Browning creamery could reduce costs, eliminate transportation losses, and boost local prosperity.
Public sale of farm assets at the seller's Browning area farm four miles west on Friday March 18 1910. Items include horses mares mules brood sows bees wagon buggy farm equipment and household goods. Terms announced sale begins at 10 o clock. Auctioneers J B Fleming.
The Browning band has been reorganized with new members and a lease of the McCray building for practice. Members are progressing well and plan to offer weekly concerts next summer with possible benefit performances for the boys to enjoy playing music.
Alden Tharp of near Cora suffered a serious eye injury last Wednesday while chopping wood a stick flew up and struck him in the eye. He traveled to Kansas City on Thursday for a specialist examination and hopes to recover his sight.
Monday night the board approved April elections for city collector and ward representatives. James McClelland named street commissioner. Officials ordered cleanup of hog lots and enforcement of litter laws. A March 14 call meeting will order new and repaired walks. The dog tax collection will be enforced with support from the board.
The University of Missouri College of Agriculture reports on profitable soil treatments for the Hillsboro upland loam in Jefferson County Southeast Missouri. Treatments added 7.05 dollars per acre to corn and 6.04 dollars per acre to clover, addressing deficiencies in nitrogen phosphorus potassium and lime.
Thursday Cassity and Brassfield dissolved their partnership by mutual consent. Brassfield buys the feed and livery business and will run a feed livery and sale barn at the Cassity barn. He invites friends to call for needed services. Cassity takes charge of the Kaifong barn handling buying and selling horses and mules. War ner is a rustier and predicts success for him.
A note of appreciation from relatives and friends thanking supporters for kindness and liberal patronage during 28 years of service. They express gratitude, hope to see everyone again, and say goodbye for now.

Fleming announces a two day sale of farm implements on Friday and Saturday March 18 and 19 1910. Shoppers receive tickets with every dollar of goods sold entitling the holder to a draw for a J I Case Power Drive Corn Planter once two thousand dollars of sales is reached, with an option to take a J I Case 16 inch Sulky Plow instead. Tickets numbered one to two thousand. Ticket holders decide the drawing method.
