E R Carter retires from Browning after forty three years in business. He and his father ran a feed mill then added an ice business, harvesting from Carter pond for summer deliveries. Recently he bought more ice from an outside plant and delivered by truck.

Route P Road to Set for Construction in Linn County

Construction of Route P north and east from Linneus will strain Linn County's supplementary road funds, delaying other projects into 1952. Bids for Route P and a parallel section to Route M will be opened in Jefferson City, with 6.2 miles to be built in two sections and a crushed rock surface after grading. Concrete culverts are planned at Muddy and Turkey Creeks.
