General Don Pratt Killed In Action In France
Judge and Mrs A L Pratt of Linneus were notified on June 20 that their son Brig Gen Don Forest Pratt aged 51 was killed in action on June 6 in France during D day. Pratt led airborne troops and his glider crashed upon landing. He was born in Brookfield, studied at Minnesota and Wisconsin, and entered the army in 1917. He served in Alaska and China and was promoted from colonel to brigadier general in August 1942.
