Booker Murrell Passes Away in 1932 at Purdin
Johnathon Booker Murrell born May 5 1852 near Louisville Kentucky died July 25 1932 in Purdin Missouri aged 80 years 2 months 20 days. He moved to Missouri at age thirteen with his parents and married Elizabeth Price Phillips January 31 1878 who died seven years earlier. Seven children born to the union six survive Stella Phillips Linneus Anna Myers Clara Kingsolver Purdin Edward Marceline and Marven with Roy died in infancy. One sister Nancy E Lane also survived. He joined the Methodist Episcopal Church South at Morris Chapel and remained faithful. Funeral Tuesday at Morris Chapel with Rev J E Dloff and Rev Hoover. interment in nearby cemetery.
