Obituary: Robert J. McCollum of North Salem

Robert J. McCollum died at his home in North Salem Tuesday night after a period of illness. He was active in church work and the Masonic lodge and left a wife, a daughter Beryl Taylor, two sons Tatlow and Paul, and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Three of his children Francis Leland and Milo preceded him in death. Funeral arrangements had not yet been completed.

Walter L Fields 64 Dies in Kansas City

Walter L. Fields 64 of 1239 Colorado Kansas City Missouri died Sunday at home after eight years in the city. He was born in Milan Missouri and worked at Sunflower Ordnance Works before illness. Survived by wife Ruth and daughter Mrs. Thomas C Jackson. Services July 26 at Schrock Church with burial nearby.

A Jones family reunion gathered last Tuesday at the home of Mr and Mrs H Clay Jones and daughters near Milan. It was the first time all members had met in 15 years with Salads sandwiches and cold drinks served before pleasant conversation. Granman spoke on the last Council meeting and Hale discussed a trip to Columbia. Marvin Garner presented two forest and lumber making shows while groups enjoyed refreshments.
