FSA Aids 991 Linn County Farm Families Since 1935
Edwin H. Lee reports Linn County Farm Security Administration has aided 991 low income farm families under Rural Rehabilitation begun in 1935. In six years 657 families received FSA loans and 334 more got other rehabilitation aid. Loans are mostly self liquidating and aim to restore self sustaining income. Loans include 340 standard and 317 emergency or non standard cases.

Farm Debt Adjustments and FSA Loans in Linn County
The Linn County Farm Debt Adjustment Committee assists farmers with debt restructuring, aiding 29 tenants to obtain standard three percent FSA loans over 40 years. The committee, including Howard Wickster, Paul R. Bushness and W. E. McKenzie, negotiates with creditors for favorable terms. Across Missouri, 63,255 families received FSA loans and 30,538 standard loans were issued, with 10,781 families having repaid.

Revenue Act 1941 Creates Simple Tax Method Form 1040A
The Revenue Act of 1941 allows a simplified tax calculation for individuals with income entirely from salary wages or other personal service compensation and not exceeding 3000. A new Form 1040A is provided for taxpayers who elect to use this method. A table on the form shows tax on increasing gross income.
