Notice to all creditors and interested parties in the estate of William J. Gooch deceased that administrator Sarah I. Gooch intends to make final settlement at the next Probate Court term in Linn County Missouri. The hearing will be held at Linneus on February 12, 1917.
Notice is hereby given to all creditors and interested parties in the estate of John W. Harvey deceased that Joseph B. Harvey, Executor, intends to make final settlement at the next term of the Probate Court of Linn County Missouri.
W. W. Jones recovers from illness. Elwood Thudium and family visited W. L. Cahoon on Sunday. Mrs. Otis McCollum and Mrs. Arthur Cattey introduced new sons at Eli Nickell’s home during the weekend. Delmer McCollum, a 12 year old son of Harvey McCollum, is mentioned in the notes.
At school Friday afternoon Collum suffered a painful right eye injury but Dr. Baker reported the sight intact and expected recovery in days. George Montgomery injured another eye while chopping timber and was moved to Brookfield for care. The Cattey home talent play Uncle Tom's Cabin in North Salem drew praise. Local farm news includes corn shipment, horse sales, ice harvest, and visiting relatives.
Reger and Clem Springs report activity with O Talbert butchering hogs last Thursday and traveling with his wife to Reger on Monday. Iva Ransom visited Alpha Talbert Sunday. Jess Pipes hauled hay to Milan and Tom Gramlin sawed wood for James Pipes. Weather described as fine for this time of year. Clan Yardley and Bob Hen- appear in continuing notes.
Shippers report Jas P Franklin sent hogs from Cora last week. Mr and Mrs W S Langdon were guests of Mr and Mrs Chas Dodson on Sunday. Herschel Talbert and wife visited Cecil Dodson and wife near Cora Sunday. Roy Elliott and Harry Peterson called at C Dodson's on business last Wednesday evening. Eva Glidewell of Macon City is visiting relatives and friends. G M Spencer and D G Havens attended court in Glen Turner. Sawed wood for Brad Knifong and Floyd Wampler last week. Sidney Glidewell sold a team last week.
