On December 21, 1917 Wallace Grice and Neva A. Taylor were married in Chillicothe at the Red Cross building by Rev Talbert. The bride is daughter of J B Taylor and Mrs Taylor of Purdin. The groom, son of Dan Grice of near Linneus, is a barber with Co I at Camp Doniphan. The bride’s maid and best man were Eva Epperson and Joe Henderson.

Lonnie Huss born March 7 1874 died December 19 1917 at age 42 years 9 months 12 days after long illness described as White Piggie. Son of Mr and Mrs Vess Huss his mother resided in Ottumwa Iowa his body brought to Browning for funeral services at Ed Brookshier home on Saturday December 22 attended by relatives and friends. He leaves a mother and one brother.
