Agricultural outlook amid war price rises and declines
Government loans may support prices for corn, wheat, cotton and tobacco. Non parishable commodities relying on exports are weak. Outlook rests on a 10 percent rise in industrial production, 9 percent higher employment, 13 percent more national income, 8 percent price level rise, and 10 percent fewer hogs marketed. Prices will rise with war then fall when defense spending drops. Farmers should adjust plans to profit from rises and guard against declines.
