Last Thursday fourteen sportsmen formed teams for a rabbit hunt. The Sullivan county squad led by captain Ross Burk and C. W. Haggard faced a fatal outcome for 276 killed in the event.

Light Plant Explosion Shocks Quiet City

An evening blast at a cement light plant startled residents and damaged walls and floors while Otis Lantz barely escaped with minor injuries. The generators remained functional and service resumed the next day. investigators suspect a stove kept the plant from freezing caused the explosion.
