A Thanksgiving night blizzard dumped twelve to fifteen inches of wet heavy snow. Wind drifted piles and blocked tracks, roads, and power lines. Trains and mail service halted. farmers fought deep drifts for feed. by Saturday the snow melted and life resumed with many lingering damages.

An elegant Wednesday tea hosted by Mrs W G Twyman in Poteau Oklahoma celebrated her mother Mrs J S Sloan of Guthrie and sister Mrs L W Hummel of Browning Missouri. About seventy five guests attended from 2 30 to 3 30 and 4 to 5 with chrysanthemum decorations, yellow tapers, and a seated tea service run by Mrs John Oxley Mrs R H Finzer and others.
The Thanksgiving community program at the M. E. church Wednesday night featured the business men's glee club and orchestra directed by Hollis Duckworth. Mayor Elmo Schrock read the proclamation, with Herbert C. Bailey giving the invocation.

About 7.0 million dollars will go to Missouri contract signers with 92 million dollars nationwide over six weeks, as compliance certificates arrive and checks are processed. Some payments may reach mid January due to processing limits and 50 000 checks per day capacity.

Sarah Elizabeth Neely died December 1 1934 at her Browning home aged 63 years 5 months 13 days. She married Franklin W Nickell in 1887 and E M Neely in 1903, leaving husband children W R Nickell Laura predeceased Herman J and five others, thirteen step grandchildren, four half sisters and many relatives. Funeral services were held at M E C South with Rev C R Luton. interment Hoover cemetery.
