May Get Federal Hospital Aid Under Hill Burton Act
The Hill Burton Hospital Construction Act will fund 75 million dollars yearly for five years to 48 states that create compliant hospital plans. Missouri’s share is about 24 million annually. Rural areas may gain more based on bed need and community capacity to support facilities. Linn County faces a bond decision that could influence federal aid prospects.
