Willing Workers Club Thanksgiving Meeting Report

The Willing Workers Club met at Mrs. Maude Christy on Wednesday November 25 with thirteen members two visitors and eight children present. Members tied up a busy day sewing rug rags and crocheting rugs, enjoyed a Thanksgiving cafeteria style dinner, and decorated tables with tinted winter bouquets. The afternoon program included singing reading the Pilgrim Fathers proclamation and a short Thanksgiving program.

Linn County Holds Experimental Blackout Plan December 14 1942

The Linn County Council of Defense asks all residents of Linn County Missouri and North Missouri to participate in an experimental blackout on December 14 1942 starting at 10 PM. Local defense offices in Brookfield and Marceline will distribute plans and handling guidance with a council member in each town available for information.
