Spite House at 44 Hull Street Boston One of oldest narrow dwellings
A Boston North End curiosity, the 44 Hull Street house, less than 11 feet wide and 21 feet long, sits opposite Copp's Hill burying ground. Built during the Revolutionary era, it has three stories and an attic, with a basement kitchen and street level dining and living rooms. Legend says it was built to block a neighbor's light after a quarrel, forcing the neighbor to keep a candle burning.

Proper Use of Handkerchief Warns of Ear Disease
Dr William B Tomlin in the Indianapolis Medical Journal notes incorrect handkerchief use by adults causes middle ear disease and deafness. He explains nostril constriction during nose blowing raises nasopharyngeal air pressure and can push infected mucus into the Eustachian tubes, starting trouble. He advises sleeping on the side during a cold to improve drainage.

Naturalists note the distribution of identical freshwater mollusks across distant ponds. Waterfowl aid dispersion as ducks carry mussels on feet for long distances and bivalves cling to wading birds’ toes, enabling transport to remote locations.
Penguins Impress Incomplete Glimpses Of Waddle And Dignity
