Fire on Browning South Side Likely One of Worst Yet

A Sunday blaze on the Browning south side started from waste papers burned near vacant lots owned by L M Kenley. The flames spread to the back of Browning Drug Company and other spots but were quickly snuffed by witnesses and onlookers aided by passersby. The event underscores the danger of burning waste papers in windy conditions.

Fourth quarterly conference session held in Browning

The business session of the fourth quarterly conference met in Browning on Monday afternoon with strong representation from all charge. Reports highlighted growth in membership, better attendance, and record finance. Official board members were elected for the new year. Milk Cow Sale Draws Big Crowd at Browning

A public auction at the Green Front barn sold forty Jersey and Guernsey cows heifers and calves with smaller calves at the stock yards. Buyers were plentiful and the sale promised strong returns as butterfat prices stay high. another shipment is planned for Laredo on Saturday August 29 at 1 30 p m.

J. T. McClellan's Carnival Co presents seven acts in Excelsior Springs and Kansas towns.
