Jerome Family Reunion At White Oak Grove Church

Oren and Phoebe Jerome, pioneer Linn county settlers, hosted a large kin gathering at White Oak Grove Church near Haseville. Attendees from multiple Jerome branches shared food, songs, and memories, with George Jerome on accordion providing music and many descendants listed as present.

Hunter Kelley Wedding Ends With Emergency Appendectomy

The marriage of Leon J. Hunter and Lillian Clare Kelley was solemnized at Danville Illinois. Shortly after departure Mrs. Hunter was stricken with appendicitis and underwent an immediate operation. She is reported doing well and recovering.

The McCune family held their annual reunion at R. D. Cassity's home in Purdin Missouri on Sunday August 18 with most members present except a Colorado pair. Attendees included J. W. Chillicothe Man Dies After Factory Injury

Joseph H. Tharp, an employee at the Jenkins rake factory in Chillicothe, was injured August 8 when timber struck him near the heart as he passed a circular saw. He died later that week. Burial was at Edgewood cemetery in Chillicothe on August 19. Survived by son E. A. Tharp, daughter Mrs. Harry Beckley, brother A. A. Tharp of Thayer Nebraska, and sister Mrs. Ethel Perkins of St. Joseph.
