Hometown Memories From Priscilla Mull Forty-Somethings
A letter from Priscilla Mull, aged 82, recalling life sixty years ago near Genesis. She describes wool carding, weaving and jeans, simple clothing, scavenged foods like dry pumpkin pie and sorghum preserves, and neighborly greetings. She recalls slavery era practices with a body servant and overseer, and ends with a wish to write more about old times and a colorful tale of Sambo.
