Light turnout marks Tuesday primary across counties

A quiet Browning election saw few candidates on both parties tickets. In Linn County Democrats listed D. A. Peery for Representative and several others for local offices while Republicans nominated Walter C. Hotaling and James G. Anderson for Prosecuting Attorney and Sheriff respectively. Sullivan County Democrats named Zina A. Cleeton and others, Republicans fielded W. S. Clark and Albert Allen for representative and sheriff. Circuit Judge races drew strongest interest with Collet Green and Marr as Democrats. Green expected to win in Sullivan and Linn tallies showed Marr leading in Sullivan and Green ahead in Linn. Paul Van Osdel faced no opposition on the Republican side.
