Neely-Talbert Couple Wed in Fayette Parsonage
Miss Helen Neely of Fayette and B A Talbert of Joplin married Saturday morning July 27 at the Methodist parsonage with aunts Mrs Marvin McDavid and Mrs E R Duncan in attendance. Talbert works for Missouri Garden and Food Conservation in Jefferson City and will oversee canning plant installations in Fayette and Vandalia. He is a Joplin high school and University of Missouri graduate. The bride, daughter of Mrs W A Daume of Brookfield, has worked in Howard County relief offices and lived with relatives in Fayette and Brookfield before college study at Kansas City Junior College. Travel schedules delay definite future plans.

The Stitch and Chatter Club met at the Dickinson school house on Thursday August 1 to reorganize for the year. Officers for six months include President Bessie Steele Vice President Clara Hanman Secretary Edith Hale. Members Ethel Burkholder Lois Foss Frances McGhee and new initiates remembered. Members split into Enterprise and Dickinson groups with colors purple and yellow and plan contests as they work on the club motto.

Former Browning Citizen Laid To Rest In Tex
Jerial Dodge Jessee born August 9 1852 in Russell County Virginia. He lived in Missouri Oklahoma and Texas as a pioneer minister of the Church of Christ. He died July 20 1935 at La Pryor Texas leaving a wife four daughters five sons and a granddaughter. Burial was beside his wife in La Pryor Cemetery with interment noted and floral tributes.

Deaths of Ernest Rottmann and late employment in Milan
Ernest Rottmann born July 23 1886 near the city grew to manhood on a farm west of town. He married Emma Moore December 27 1905 and they had one son Raymond. Survived by wife son mother and siblings, funeral in Milan and burial near Humphreys. He later worked as drag man for the state highway department, with recent employment uncertain.

Willard Moten Pulliam born September 16 1865 near Purdin Missouri died July 24 1935 after a long illness at his home one mile north of Purdin. Funeral at Purdin Baptist church with burial in Purdin cemetery. Survived by four brothers eleven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was a farmer and carpenter and joined the Methodist church as a young man. Also notes a Wednesday evening visit from Geo Beswick and others from Linneus and Blue Mountain Mississippi.

Oil heater blast burns Kansas City worker
Alys Hant of Kansas City an employee of Tim-Joyce Construction Co was severely burned while lighting an oil heater. He poured kerosene on the burner causing an explosion that set clothing on fire. He tore off his shirt and ran to a Shell station for help. Dr Becker dressed the burns at Owl Pharmacy and he was to be taken to a Kansas City hospital accompanied by his mother Mrs J A Logan and Mr Logan.

Seriously Injured In Collision In Brookfield
Clark Miller was seriously injured yesterday morning when his pickup collided with a gravel truck. Dr Haning advised immediate hospital care and Miller was taken to Brookfield by L W Hunital where his jaw skull and ribs were broken. His chances for recovery are very slight. Miller recently moved from Carrollton to work with Highway No 5 surveyors and has many friends in the city who are grieved by the accident.
