Winigan Lodge Mourns John A Wyatt Pioneer Citizen
John A Wyatt died at his North Salem home on April 16 1934 at age 85 after a long illness. Funeral services were held April 18 conducted by Rev Park Chaffee with Winigan Lodge in charge burial at North Salem cemetery. Survived by wife Mary Richardson and five children Elijah Flossie Rollie Edward Wayne Abbott. He was a longtime Linn County resident born January 9 1847 near Rocheport Missouri.

Aunt Mollie Haley dies after long Sullivan County life
Mary Elizabeth Haley Stephenson was born in Chattanooga Tennessee in 1858 and died April 22 194? at age 76. She moved to Missouri as a child and lived much of her life in Sullivan County. She leaves a daughter Julia Ware Linneus a granddaughter Opal Clark and a great granddaughter. five brothers and half brothers survive along with many relatives. A Price Church member since about 20 years ago she was laid to rest at Price cemetery after funeral at Bethany Christian Church led by Rev. C R Luton.

Cross Roads School Close Successful Term Fire
Cross Roads School in the district closed a term with Miss Irene Helms as teacher. About 11 o clock patrons from the district and neighboring areas filled the house. A noon dinner table groaned with baskets and good things. In the afternoon pupils and Mrs. Turner of Cor and Bundridge district joined the teacher in a program of songs readings dialogues and music. Music provided by Mr. Badger Brownling Laddie Dodson with guitars Clarence Head on French harp Clyde Hoskins on banjo and Donnie Head on violin.
