J B Taylor of east of Purdin brought a cluster of castor beans grown in his garden. The seed, said to originate from Los Angeles, grew to about forty feet tall there and seven feet tall in Taylor’s garden. New Deal Aims to Cut Dairy Output and Aid Farmers
Secretary Wallace and the Agricultural Adjustment Administration announce a plan to reduce dairy output 10 to 20 percent with 165 million dollars in cash payments and a processing tax starting at 1 cent per pound. Cooperating dairies would receive compensation based on 1934 output versus 1932 and 1933, about 40 cents per pound for butterfat or 1.50 per cwt for fluid milk. The program may total up to 300 million if Congress acts. Regional conferences after April 1 will refine the plan, with relief distribution, cow transfers, and disease eradication attached to the effort.

Car Rollover Injures Three Near Purdin
A car attempting to pass a road grader near Purdin overturned, injuring sisters Mrs. S. S. Cotter of near the city and Mrs. George Parsley of Brookfield. Local School Election Exceeds Few Voters
Voters showed indifference in the school election with four candidates for director led by W. H. Dickinson and J. R Williams in second place. Dickinson and Williams were re elected and the board will meet Friday to organize. The levy carried by a large majority. A heavy rain Tuesday night brought two inches of rainfall, with thunder and lightning, aiding spring crops and water supplies.
