Nancy Ellen Pipes Cotter of Browning born August 5 1848 in Sullivan county near Browning died March 30 1912 age 63 years 7 months 25 days. She married A J Cotter December 14 1855 and left ten children eight living survivors J M Moore Browning W B Hilburn W T Cordray J W Johnson B J Lambert Noah Cotter Amos Cotter S S Cotter Sentinel. Also twelve grandchildren one great grandchild four sisters and one brother. Funeral at family residence conducted by Rev Cooper and buried Jenkins cemetery. A large crowd attended. The article notes her September 1 1911 reflection on faith and salvation.

Carlotta Pontiac, a seven year old Holstein cow at the Missouri College of Agriculture, tops butter fat records with 76.6 pounds fat in January from 2146 pounds milk at 8.57 percent. Over 140 milking days she produced 9268.6 pounds milk and 305.1 pounds butterfat, the equivalent of 881 pounds of butter, averaging 66 1/8 pounds milk daily and 21/2 pounds butterfat daily.
